We didn't forget the Myanmarese either. At the same time that we gave to the victims of the Sichuan earthquake, we contributed another RM500 (Maybank cheque: MBB 033464) towards Yayasan Sin Chew to help the Myanmar folk rebuild their lives.

We donated to the World Wildlife Fund as we heartily support its ongoing efforts to save endangered species and habitats worldwide. In the process, we've also adopted a gorilla in support of WWF's efforts to save this endangered specie.

9 April 2008

As a group of concerned citizens (Mr Tan Loke Chee, Mr Quah Sy Yih, Mr Yeop Guan Pin & Ms Yeoh Gim Gaik ), we donated US$120 towards the Overseas China Education Foundation (OCEF). OCEF is registered in Texas and granted by IRS as a 501 (c) (3) non-profit charity organization helps less-privileged children in rural areas of China to finish their education up to 9th grade. Due to social and historical reasons, millions of school-age children in vast rural areas of China are still struggling for a chance to receive basic education. Our donation goes towards helping Chinese children get the basic reading and writing skills with which they need to push themselves out of ignorance and poverty.
